MTV has released the first official trailer for The Shannara Chronicles. The new show, which is based on Terry Brooks' best-selling fantasy books, will premiere on MTV in January 2016.
The Shannara Chronicles will be produced by Jon Favreau (Iron Man) and Al Gough and Miles Millar (Smallville). Jonathan Liebesman (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) will direct the first two episodes.
The show features Ivana Baquero, Manu Bennett, Emilia Burns, Austin Butler, Poppy Drayton, Aaron Jakubenko, and John Rhys-Davies.
