JVC Joins Blu-ray Game

JVC has announced that they have launched a DNLA compliant Blu-ray home theater system. Part of their Sophisti line of products, the NX-BD3 system comprises of two front speakers and a subwoofer, along with the Blu-ray player. There is also an optional wireless adapter upgrade that allows you to stream media wirelessly over a network.

The player is BonusView (Profile v1.1) compliant, but has no support for advanced audio decoding. It does, however, include one HDMI v1.3 connector with deep color and 24fps support. The system was announced for release in the UK, and no US date is known at this time.
