Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has announced and detailed the Blu-ray release of
The Big Bang Theory: The Complete Eighth Season. The latest 24-episode season of the hit CBS sitcom stars Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch, and arrives on Blu-ray on September 15th.

The Big Bang Theory continues to capture the hearts of viewers and critics alike, with original episodes averaging more than 21 million total viewers per week during the 2014-2015 season. The series, which was already renewed for two additional seasons on CBS, revolves around two genius roommates, Leonard Hofstadter (Galecki) and Sheldon Cooper (Parsons), who remain socially challenged, but always produce hilarious results with their friends.
With Leonard finally engaged to girl-across-the-hall Penny (Cuoco-Sweeting) after countless proposals, the possibilities for happiness seem endless... while the probability for laughs is a foregone conclusion. What's unknown is how this might impact the ironclad "Roommate Agreement" he's entered into with Sheldon. Add to this, Sheldon's uncomfortably close relationship with neurobiologist Amy Farrah Fowler (Balik); Raj's (Nayyar) newfound ability to talk to and date women; and Howard (Helberg) and Bernadette's (Rauch) solution to an in-house caretaker (their friend Stuart) for the always outspoken Mrs. Wolowitz, and the worlds of science and sitcom are about to hilariously collide.
