For the week that ended on May 10th, Universal Studios Home Entertainment's Fifty Shades of Grey took the top spot on the Blu-ray and overall package-media lists. The film - an adaptation of E.L. James' bestselling erotic novel - netted Universal a healthy profit despite unspectacular critical notices (a Metacritic score of 46%); Fifty Shades of Grey grossed over $569 million worldwide on top of a $40-million budget. During its first week on all home media platforms, the film had a Blu-ray market share of 57%.

Next up on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media charts was the Weinstein Company's Paddington. On the Blu-ray-only ranking, Paddington sold 10% as many Blu-rays as Fifty Shades of Grey and had an HD market share of 36%.

Finally, Paramount Pictures Home Entertainment's Selma rounded out the top three spots on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media lists. This historical drama about Civil Rights icon Martin Luther King Jr. was a critical and commercial success for Paramount last year. Selma earned $66 million worldwide on top of its estimated $20-million budget, and it currently has a very impressive 89% score on Metacritic.
