Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced the Blu-ray release of director Pierre Morel's The Gunman, starring Sean Penn, Idris Elba, Javier Bardem, Ray Winstone, Mark Rylance and Jasmine Trinca. The dramatic action thriller arrives on Blu-ray/DVD/Digital HD combo pack on June 30th.
From the director of Taken (2008) comes The Gunman, a pulse-pounding film with two-time Academy Award winner Sean Penn. It's been eight years since Jim Terrier (Penn) worked as a black ops assassin and now someone from his old organization wants him dead. Pursued across Africa and Europe by elite hit men, Terrier is dragged back into his dangerous past as he engages in a relentless cat-and-mouse game to take out the man who betrayed him.
The Blu-ray release of The Gunman is presented in 2.40:1 1080p with lossless Dolby Atmos surround and English SDH, French and Spanish subtitles. Special features have yet to be detailed.
