Warner Home Video has revealed that they will be postponing three classic films which were originally slated be released within the next few weeks. 'Battle of the Bulge' was originally scheduled to be released on May 8th, but will now reach store shelves a week later on May 15th. This disc now joins other Warner titles 'The Fountain' and 'Road Warrior' (another previous May 8th title delayed a week) for launch on the same day.
Two John Wayne classics, 'Rio Bravo' and 'The Cowboys' were originally scheduled to be released on May 22nd. Those keeping track will know that May 22nd is an absolutely huge day for Blu-ray in terms of blockbuster releases. Oddly enough, Warner has decided to move these titles from one blockbuster day, to another on June 5th, where it will have to race against other top catalog hits.
No reason was given for the delay.
