PBS Distribution is bringing
The Almighty Johnsons: The Complete Series to Blu-ray via an 11-disc set later this month. Previously, only the
first season was available for purchase, while the third season has not been broadcast in the US. The New Zealand fantasy series stars Emmett Skilton, Tim Balme, Dean O'Gorman and Jared Turner, and arrives on Blu-ray on April 28th.
Synopsis: The Johnson brothers, Mike, Anders, Ty, and Axl, are far from ordinary-they are descendants of Norse gods. With the help of his brothers, Axl, as the human incarnation of Odin, must embark upon his life's quest: to find Frigg, his beloved, in order to rebuild the house of Asgard so that the Gods will rule again... unless their nemeses, the power-hungry Goddesses, can stop the Johnsons and find Frigg first.
The Almighty Johnsons is presented in 1080p with a DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 track. PBS has not detailed the 11-disc set's complete special features.
