PBS Direct is bringing Mr. Selfridge: Season 3 to Blu-ray this spring. The third season of the period drama series stars Jeremy Piven as American capitalist Harry Gordon Selfridge, the man who brought seductive shopping to early 20th century London, and arrives on Blu-ray on May 5th.
Season 3 follows the fascinating rise and fall of Piven's colorful but troubled entrepreneur, picking up in 1919 just after the end of World War I. Zoë Wanamaker joins the series cast as trouble-making Russian Princess, Marie de Bolotoff, and the Selfridge's staff returns, with Amanda Abbington (Sherlock) as Miss Mardle, Tom Goodman-Hill as Mr. Grove, Ron Cook as Mr. Crabb, Aisling Loftus as Agnes Towler, Grégory Fitoussi as Henri Leclair, and Aidan McArdle as Lord Loxley.
Mr. Selfridge is a co-production of ITV Studios and Masterpiece, and based on "Shopping, Seduction & Mr. Selfridge" by Lindy Woodhead. Kate Brooke is lead writer on the second season working alongside Kate O'Riordan, Dan Sefton and Andrew Davies. The producers are Cherry Gould and Jeremy Piven. The co-executive producer is Kate O'Riordan. The executive producers are Kate Lewis, Kate Brooke, Andrew Davies, and Rebecca Eaton.
The Blu-ray release of Mr. Selfridge: Season 3 is presented in 1080p with a DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 track. Special features have yet to be detailed.
