Ethan Hawke is set to appear in Antoine Fuqua's remake of John Sturges' classic western The Magnificent Seven. The cast also includes Denzel Washington -- who won his second Oscar for his performance in Fuqua's Training Day -- Chris Pratt, and Haley Bennett.
The upcoming film will be distributed by MGM.
Sturges' western was also a remake of another classic film, Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai, starring Toshirô Mifune, Takashi Shimura, Keiko Tsushima, Yukiko Shimazaki, and Kamatari Fujiwara.
In the United States, the original The Magnificent Seven and Seven Samurai are already out on Blu-ray. Click here and here to see our listings of these releases.
