BBC Home Entertainment has announced the Blu-ray release of
Miss Marple: Volume Three, which features four mysteries: "A Caribbean Mystery," "At Bertram's Hotel," "Nemesis" and "Sleeping Murder." Newly remastered for the series' 30th Anniversary, the third volume of the classic BBC series arrives on Blu-ray on June 2nd.
Official Synopsis: Gather your wits and join best-selling author Agatha Christie's popular sleuth Miss Jane Marple in four delightfully baffling mysteries starring Joan Hickson; the actress Christie herself wanted for the title role. Regarded by many fans as the definitive Miss Marple, Joan Hickson was one of the oldest actresses to take a lead role in a major television series when she was cast as Agatha Christie's soft-spoken, sharp-eared sleuth at the age of 78 in 1984. She retired eight years later, having completed 12 mysteries in the
Miss Marple series.
All four mysteries have been completely remastered to high definition quality from the original film elements by BBC Studios and Post Production's Digital Media Services team.
Volume Two is presented 1.33:1 1080p with a DTS-HD Master Audio Mono track.
