Syncopy, the production company co-owned by acclaimed director Christopher Nolan (
The Dark Knight Trilogy) and his wife Emma Thomas, will team up with independent distributors Zeitgeist Films to produce Blu-ray releases.
According to Variety, which broke the news, the first title in the partnership will be Russian director Andrei Zvyagintsev's
Elena, which won Un Certain Regard - Special Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival. The Blu-ray release will be available for purchase on August 4.
The two companies also plan to release on Blu-ray a compilation of short films by the Quay Brothers, which is expected to arrive on the market this fall.
