British distributors 101 Films have revealed that they are planning to bring to Blu-ray Eric Karson's
Black Eagle (1988) starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, Sho Kosugi, Doran Clark, Bruce Doran, and Vladimir Skomarovsky. The preliminary release date set by the distributors is May 4.
Synopsis: A top secret US tracking device goes missing when the F-111 fighter jet transporting it is shot out of the sky. The KGB, led by the infamous Andrei (Van Damme), have the upper hand in their race with the CIA to retrieve it, until the Americans level the playing field by enlisting the help of martial arts expert Ken Tani (Shô Kosugi), code-named the Black Eagle.
