VIZ Media has announced the Blu-ray release of Ranma ½: Set 6, which features episodes 116-138 of the celebrated martial arts action-adventure anime series. Set 1, Set 2, Set 3, Set 4 and Set 5 are already available for purchase, with one additional release scheduled to follow. Ranma ½: Set 6 arrives on Blu-ray on June 2nd.
Official Synopsis: A mysterious young man who uses pantyhose as a weapon steals the Jusenkyo guestbook and kidnaps Akane. In order to save her, Ranma teams up with Ryoga, Mousse, and Shampoo, but the young man, like Ranma, also undergoes a transformation when splashed with cold water. After that, monsters escape from strange hanging scrolls and cause chaos around town! The only way to stop them is for Ranma to go on a date with a scribbles panda that has also come out of a scoll! Finally, Ukyo stays at the Tendo Dojo to recover from the shock of a ruined okonomiyaki sauce that has been marinating for ten years. Could Ranma, who is acting strangely kind around Ukyo, have something to do with that too?
Ranma ½: Set 6 features a complete restoration and remastering in the series' native 4x3 aspect ratio, presented via 1080p video and English and Japanese DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 stereo tracks. The special edition set includes a premium chipboard artbox, full color art card, and 32-page booklet. Extras include:
