Independent British distributors Spirit Entertainment have revealed that they are planning to bring to Blu-ray director Paul Katis' film Kajaki (2014), starring Mark Stanley, David Elliot, Malachi Kirby, Ali Cook and Paul Luebke. The release will be available for purchase on June 8.
Kajaki has been nominated for BAFTA Award for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer (Paul Katis, Andrew de Lotbiniere).
Synopsis: A small unit of soldiers is positioned on a ridge overlooking the Kajaki dam. A three-man patrol sets out to disable a Taliban roadblock. In a dried out river bed at the foot of the ridge, one of the patrol detonates a land mine, blowing off his leg and setting into motion a desperate rescue mission.
