Kino Lorber have announced the Blu-ray release of
The Retrieval, an award-winning film from writer-director Chris Eska (
August Evening). This powerful Civil War-era drama tells the story of a young boy, aiding a bounty hunter in the capture and return of escaped slaves, who finds himself in a moral dilemma when he develops a strong bond with a fugitive that he has been sent to track down. Street date is February 3.

The Retrieval was a hit at film festivals, winning the Special Jury Award at SXSW, the International Critics Prize at the Festival du Cinéma Américain de Deauville, the Audience Award at the Mill Valley Film Festival, and nominated for the Someone To Watch Award at the Independent Spirit Awards.
