Well Go USA Acquires Rights to New Tsui Hark Film

Well Go USA announced that it has acquired the U.S. and Canadian distribution rights to acclaimed director Tsui Hark's latest film, The Taking of Tiger Mountain (2014). The film will open in theaters across the country on January 2, 2015.

Synopsis: Tsui Hark's thrilling adaptation of Qu Bo's beloved adventure novel stars Tony Leunk Ka-fai as a ruthless bandit, ruling the lands of Northeast China from his fortress on Tiger Mountain. A captain of the Liberation Army (Lin Gengxin) launches a counter-insurgency against the dictator with a skilled investigator (Zhang Hanyu) sent to destroy the gang from the inside.

Note: Well Go USA has already released on Blu-ray Tsui Hark's previous film Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea Dragon. The blockbuster Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame is also available on Blu-ray courtesy of Indomina Media/Vivendi Entertainment.
