In the most recent issue of Agent DVD magazine, it was revealed that Fox Home Entertainment would release all five original '
Planet of the Apes' film in a stunning Blu-ray box set early this November. In addition to containing all the special features from the DVDs, Fox has gone back and produced all new HD features.
Additionally, one of the films will be restored from the original, unrated version. It was not revealed, however, which of the five films would get the star treatment.
Richard Ashton, director of classics for Fox, commented, "It's the first time [these movies] are going to be taken seriously." He later continued, "If you like 'Apes', you'll love this set."
