For the past few months, Amazon has been linking to a Blu-ray informational website hosted by 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment in their Blu-ray Disc Store. The webpage offers basic information on Blu-ray and its capabilities; it contains enough information to answer the questions of anyone looking to enter into the high definition movie arena. Fox has now moved this page to its own dedicated website: PerfectHiDef.com.
An obvious response to rival HD DVD's slogan, "The Look and Sound of Perfect", the site still features direct links back to Amazon (instead of Fox's own webstore) indicating that Amazon and Fox may be expanding their involvement together to push Blu-ray. You may recall a few weeks ago Amazon held a Blu-ray sale where Fox Blu-ray discs were heavily discounted.
It is unknown how much the site will change in the future, if at all, but as Fox renovates their online presence, this site might get a healthy dose of content for those of us craving exclusive material. With Fox jumping back into the Blu-ray fray this June, it will be interesting to see how this site evolves.
