The Hayao Miyazaki Collection Blu-ray

StudioCanal has officially announced and detailed The Hayao Miyazaki Collection. The twelve-disc Blu-ray set will be available for purchase in the United Kingdom on December 8th.

This is the first time Studio Ghibli have allowed their feature films to be released in this way and, following the recent news of Miyazaki's retirement from feature film production, it brings together all 11 of his directed feature films – from Castle of Cagliostro through to The Wind Rises.

Alongside the individual features comes a bonus disc with the full 90 minute press conference Miyazaki gave announcing his retirement and looking back on his career and a specially commissioned booklet exclusive to this release with analysis, essays and commentary as well as contributions from Miyazaki himself.

An opportunity for fans, old and new, and collectors to once again explore in turn the fun and fancy of a storytelling genius.
