For the week that ended on October 26th, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment's X-Men: Days of Future Past remained at the top spot on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media rankings. Director Bryan Singer's ambitious sci-fi blockbuster - the prequel/sequel to X-Men: The Last Stand, The Wolverine, and X-Men: First Class - was a big success when it premiered last May. After receiving positive critical acclaim (it has a Metacritic score of 74%), the film grossed over $746 million worldwide on top of its estimated $200-million budget. Last week, Days of Future Past had a Blu-ray market share of 51%.

Next up on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media charts was Dreamworks' Mr. Peabody & Sherman. This animated comedy struggled to make an impression with viewers following its March premiere; critics were lukewarm on the film (its Metacritic score is 59%) and audiences failed to make the film a success in the domestic market, where it grossed only $111 million on top of its estimated $145-million budget. On the Blu-ray-only ranking, Mr. Peabody & Sherman sold 41% as many Blu-rays as Days of Future Past (and garnered an HD market share of 38%). On the overall package-media chart, the film moved 56% as many units as the X-Men feature.

Finally, Twentieth Century Fox's Earth to Echo rounded out the top three spots on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media sales lists. This family-friendly sci-fi adventure was a modest success with audiences last July. Although its critical notices weren't spectacular - it has a Metacritic score of 53% - the film grossed over $45 million worldwide on top of a budget of only $13 million. Earth to Echo sold 33% as many Blu-rays as Days of Future Past - and had an HD market share of 40% - and sold 42% as many total units as that time-traveling thriller.
