Marvel announced today that the highly anticipated project The Avengers: Infinity War will be split into two movies. The first will be released on May 4 2018, while the second will open on May 3, 2019. The announcement was made by Marvel President Kevin Feige.
Next year, Marvel is releasing the sequel to director Joss Whedon's Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, which stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Paul Bettany, Samuel L. Jackson and James Spader. The film is set to open in theaters across the nation on May 1.
