Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and Showtime have detailed the Blu-ray release of
Shameless: The Complete Fourth Season, starring William H. Macy, Emmy Rossum, Justin Chatwin, Shanola Hampton, Emma Kenney, Jeremy Allen White, Ethan Cutkosky, Steve Howey, Shanola Hampton and Cameron Monaghan. The 2-disc set features all 12 fourth season episodes and arrives on Blu-ray/DVD/UltraViolet combo pack on December 30th.
Synopsis: Season Four of
Shameless finds the Gallaghers braving another brutal Chicago winter and waiting on the medical fate of their flawed and permanently pickled patriarch, Frank (Macy). With oldest daughter Fiona (Rossum) in a stable job and relationship, and newly graduated Lip (White) enrolled in college, it seems like the Gallghers might finally have a shot at happiness and realize the middle class American dream. But with Ian (Monaghan) still missing, Debbie (Kenney) and Carl (Cutkosky) dealing with adolescent hormones (or lack thereof) and neighbors Kev (Howey) and Veronica (Hampton) pregnant with multiple babies, moving up isn't so easy when you're down and out.
Based on the long-running, award-winning British series by the same name,
Shameless was adapted for American television by John Wells and original UK series creator Paul Abbott (
State of Play) and made its U.S. debut on Showtime on January 9, 2011. The series developed a loyal fan base during the first season, with ratings continuing to climb during subsequent seasons.
Shameless is one of Showtime's top three series across Households, Total Viewers, Adults, Women & Men 18-34, 18-49, 25-54.
