French label ARP Sélection will release on Blu-ray director François Dupeyron's film
The Officers' Ward a.k.a.
La chambre des officiers (2001), starring Éric Caravaca, Denis Podalydès, Grégori Derangère, Sabine Azéma, and André Dussollier. ARP Sélection will release a
standard Blu-ray edition of the film on November 4th and a
Collector's Edition on November 25th.
Synopsis: Based on Marc Dugain's novel. Adrien Fournier (Éric Caravaca) is a handsome young officer in the French army who returns from service in the First World War with a horribly disfigured face. He is sent to recover in military hospital amongst other young men injured by the war, and slowly, in their company, he begins to regain his sense of self-worth. However, the biggest challenge will be to learn to face the outside world again.
