For the week that ended on September 28th, Universal Studios' Neighbors took the top spot on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media rankings. This raunchy comedy was one of Summer 2014's biggest box-office successes; the estimated $18-million feature grossed almost fifteen times as much as that worldwide - $268 million, with over $150 million coming exclusively from the domestic market. Last week, Neighbors had a Blu-ray market share of 43%.

Next up on the Blu-ray-only chart was Warner Home Entertainment's Godzilla. This blockbuster adventure, which is Monsters director Gareth Edwards' reimagining of the monster-movie icon, performed well with both critics and audiences when it premiered last May. In addition to its okay-to-solid reviews (Godzilla currently has a Metacritic rating of 62%), the film grossed just under $525 million worldwide on top of its projected $160 million budget. On the Blu-ray-only list, Godzilla sold 46% as many copies as Neighbors and had an HD market share of 45%. On the overall package-media list, the film came in third place and sold 44% as many total units as the Seth Rogen-starring comedy.

Finally, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment's The Fault in Our Stars rounded out the top three spots on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media sales lists. Based on the acclaimed YA novel by John Green, The Fault in Our Stars had a robust screen presence following its theatrical release in June. The picture, which has a projected production budget of $12 million, grossed over $124 million domestically and mostly enjoyed a positive critical consensus, as indicated by its 69% Metacritic rating. The Fault in Our Stars had an HD market share of 34% and sold 41% as many Blu-rays as Neighbors. Regarding the overall package-media chart, the film came in second place and sold 52% as many units as the epic creature feature.
