Amplify has released an official U.S. trailer for A.J. Edwards' directorial debut The Better Angels (2014), starring Jason Clarke, Diane Kruger, Brit Marling, Wes Bentley, Cameron Mitchell Williams, and Braydon Denney. The film is set to open in theaters across the nation on November 7th.
The Better Angels chronicles the story of Abraham Lincoln's formative years, from childhood to presidency. Following such sorrows as abandonment from his father (played by Jason Clarke), the death of his mother (Brit Marling) and the enduring love of stepmother (Diane Kruger), director A.J. Edwards will show us the unknown side of the future president.
The Better Angels (formerly titled: Green Blade Rises) marks the directorial debut of A.J. Edwards. The filmmaker began his career as an editorial intern on Terrence Malick's The New World. Malick is a producer on The Better Angels.
