Paramount Television will produce a drama series based on Antoine Fuqua's action thriller Shooter (2007) for TNT. Mark Wahlberg, the star of Fuqua's film, will also be part of the upcoming project.
The TV series will be scripted by John Hlavin (Underworld: Awakening). It will be executive produced by Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson.
Fuqua's film tells the story of a former Marine Corps sniper, who becomes a target after he learns of a plot to kill the President.
