Canadian production company Thunderbird has acquired independent British distributors Soda Pictures. Thunderbird has already launched a distribution label in Canada.
Thunderbird has also acquired director Lone Scherfig's latest film
The Riot Club, which will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival this weekend. (You can see the official trailer for

Soda Pictures, which has a library of more than 250 films, will continue to operate under its own brand in the United Kingdom. In Canada, Thunderbird and Soda Pictures will promote and distribute high-profile British productions for the local market.
