U.S. distributors Kino Video will bring to Blu-ray Roy Rowland's noir film
Witness to Murder (1954)m starring Barbara Stanwyck, George Sanders, Gary Merrill, Jesse White, and Harry Shannon. The release will be available for purchase on December 2.
Synopsis: Intelligent, professional woman Barbara Stanwyck is a 'witness to murder' in the apartment directly across the street from hers. When she calls the police, they discount her 'evidence' because she's a woman, unmarried, maybe even menopausal; this is 1954. She persists, even convincing detective Gary Merrill that she may be right, but the killer George Sanders, suave and hateful as ever, calmly forges letters and leaves false clues that have the police believing she's a hysterical woman.
