Universal Studios Home Entertainment has detailed its upcoming Blu-ray release of Jon Favreau's (
Swingers,
Iron Man,
Iron Man 2) latest film
Chef (2014), starring Jon Favreau, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Oliver Platt, Sofía Vergara, John Leguizamo, and Dustin Hoffman. The release will be available for purchase on September 30th.
Synopsis: When Chef Carl Casper (Favreau) suddenly quits his job at a prominent Los Angeles restaurant after refusing to compromise his creative integrity for its controlling owner (Dustin Hoffman), he is left to figure out what's next. Finding himself in Miami, he teams up with his ex-wife (Vergara), his friend (Leguizamo) and his son to launch a food truck. Taking to the road, Chef Carl goes back to his roots to reignite his passion for the kitchen -- and zest for life and love.
