French label Carlotta Films has released a new trailer for the recent 4K restoration of Jacques Tati's PlayTime (1967), starring Jacques Tati, Barbara Dennek, Rita Maiden, France Rumilly, and Erika Dentzler. The new 4K restoration will be introduced in cinemas across France on July 16th.
On July 21, StudioCanal will also release on Blu-ray in the United Kingdom the Jacques Tati Collection, which will include the new 4K restoration of PlayTime.
Synopsis: Monsieur Hulot (Jacques Tati) and a group of American women tourists travel through Paris, he struggling to keep an appointment, they searching for the romantic Paris of old. Tati's satirical view of modern city life was played out entirely on a vast mobile set, known as `Tativille', just outside Paris. The third Monsieur Hulot film.
