Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced the Blu-ray release of director Mark L. Lester's
Firestarter, starring Drew Barrymore, George C. Scott, Martin Sheen, David Keith, Freddie Jones, Heather Locklear, Art Carney and Louise Fletcher. The 1984 adaptation of the Stephen King novel of the same name makes its Blu-ray debut on September 2nd.

The Blu-ray edition of
Firestarter is presented in 1080p with a DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Mono track. An UltraViolet Digital HD digital copy of the film is included, but there are no other special features.
