Independent British distributors Third Window Films have acquired the distribution rights to Japanese director Tetsuya Nakashima's
The World of Kanako (2014), starring Kôji Yakusho, Nana Komatsu, and Satoshi Tsumabuki.
Directed by Tetsuya Nakashima, the film stars Koji Yakusho as an ex-cop searching for his missing daughter whose straight-a student façade hid the secret life she led in a hellish underworld.
Third Window Films plan to have
The World of Kanako in theaters in the first half of 2015. The film will then transition to Blu-ray and DVD.
Note: Third Window Films have already released on Blu-ray dierctor Nakashima's
Kamikaze Girls,
Memories of Matsuko, and
Confessions.
