Panasonic Introduces 6X BD-R

Panasonic has announced that they have developed the world's first 6X BD-R, which is set to go on sale in Japan next month in both single and dual layer configurations. The new discs allow a maximum transfer speed of 216Mbps, which is 20% more than that of a comparable 16X DVD. This will allow for even faster recording than previously possible.
With 6X Blu-ray Disc writers already on the market, many users will flock to the Panasonic BD-Rs to fulfill their storage needs.
