At a press event Monday, Bob Chapek, president of Walt Disney Studios, made it clear to audiences that every Disney branded Blu-ray release after the October 7th release of '
Sleeping Beauty' would include some form of BD-Live. As you probably already know, 'Sleeping Beauty' will include many BD-Live elements to showcase what Disney has been working on to make Blu-ray highly interactive.
That pledge does not include Blu-ray releases from their content partners (such as ABC, Touchtone, and Miramax), but some of those releases may include BD-Live elements as well.
Disney will also heavily promote the BD-Live features of these titles, encouraging consumers that they should not only adopt Blu-ray, but emerge themselves into the films deeper than ever before possible.
