When We Left Earth Gets New Blu-ray Date

Image Entertainment in conjunction with Discovery Channel has revealed updated specs and a new date for the upcoming Blu-ray release of 'When We Left Earth: The NASA Missions', now due to hit store shelves September 30th, day-and-date with the DVD release. No word on the specs for the video, besides it being high definition, but we do know that the soundtrack will be DTS-HD Master Audio.
All six episodes ("Ordinary Supermen", "Friends and Rivals", "Landing the Eagle", "The Explorers", "The Shuttle", and "Home in Space") will be spread across four discs and be narrated by actor Gary Sinies. Extras include interviews with Gene Kranz, John Glenn, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, Jim Lovell, Fred Haise, Bob Crippen, and John Young.
