Sean Penn will direct The Last Face, a new film starring Charlize Theron (Prometheus), Adèle Exarchopoulos (Blue Is the Warmest Color), and Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men).
Bill Pohlad (Into the Wild, 12 Years a Slave), Matt Palmieri (Martha Marcy May Marlene), and Bill Gerber (Gran Torino) will produce the new film.
According to early reports, The Last Face will be shot on location in Africa this summer.
The film will tell the story of a doctor who must choose between the woman he has fallen in love with and his patients in a time of crisis.
