British distributors Entertainment One have officially announced and detailed their upcoming Blu-ray release of Canadian director Jean-Marc Vallée's award-winning film
Dallas Buyers Club (2013), starring Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Garner, Jared Leto, Steve Zahn, and Michael O'Neill. The release will be available for purchase on June 2.
Directed by Jean-Marc Vallée (C.R.A.Z.Y, Café de Flore), this tale is brought to life by the award winning and talented cast including; Matthew McConaughey (MUD, The Wolf Of Wall Street), who delivers a remarkable portrayal of determined and brave Ron Woodroff; Jared Leto (Requiem For A Dream, American Psycho), who stars as vivacious transgender Rayon; Jennifer Garner (Juno, Alias) plays sympathetic Dr. Eve Saks; Denis O'Hare (Milk, The Proposal) is narrow minded Dr Sevard; Steve Zahn (Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Sahara) stars as Ron's good friend and police officer Tucker; and Michael O'Neill (Transformers, Traffic) is unwavering Richard Barkley of the Food and Drug Administration.
Dallas Buyers Club follows the life of Texas cowboy Ron Woodroof (McConaughey) whose free-wheeling life is overturned when he's diagnosed as HIV-positive and given 30 days to live. Determined to survive, Woodroof decides to take matters in his own hands by tracking down alternative treatments from all over the world by means both legal and illegal. After finding an unlikely ally in Rayon (Leto), he establishes a hugely successful "buyers' club" and unites a band of outcasts in a struggle for dignity and acceptance that inspires in ways no one could have imagined.
