Independent distributors Code Red have confirmed that they are planning to bring to Blu-ray director Danny Steinmann's
Savage Streets (1984), starring Linda Blair, John Vernon, Robert Dryer, and Johnny Venocur, and Constantine S. Gochis'
The Redeemer: Son of Satan (1978), starring Damien Knight, Jeannetta Arnette, Nick Carter, and Nikki Barthen. The two releases are expected to arrive on the U.S. market later this year.
Savage Streets
After nearly being rundown by a gang known as the Scars, Brenda (Linda Blair) and friends trash the leader's car. Gang leader, Jake, exacts his revenge by getting his cohorts to gang-rape her mute-dead sister, Heather (in a gloriously naunced role by Linnea Quigley). Armed with a crossbow and a bad attitude, Linda Blair sets out to avenge her mute-deaf sister while blazing a bloody, Bronson-inspired trail through 80's Los Angeles.
The Redeemer: Son of Satan
When a small town high school reunion occurs, a born loser (T.G. Finkbinder) who is now a pastor makes a pact with the devil himself. He will kill his fellow schoolmates one by one to redeem himself and to hopefully get his second possessed thumb removed. He proves to be a master of disguise - and he even treats his victim to some hammy acting. Revenge and death will never be the same as The Redeemer slowly kills his victims in various gory methods!
