Sam Raimi's (Spider-Man trilogy) Ghost House Pictures and Good Universe have revealed that they are planning to re-launch The Grudge franchise. According to early reports, Jeff Buhler (The Midnight Meat Train) has been hired to write the script for the reboot.
Japanese helmer Takashi Shimizu directed the original Ju-on: The Grudge in 2002. Shimizu also directed the English-language remake, The Grudge, starring Sarah Michelle Gellar in 2004.
