Cinedigm has announced the Blu-ray release of
Stan Lee's Mighty 7: Beginnings. The animated superhero adventure features the voice talents of Armie Hammer, Christian Slater, Mayim Bialik, Teri Hatcher, Flea, Darren Criss, Sean Astin, Jim Belushi, Michael Ironside and comicbook legend Stan Lee himself, and arrives via Blu-ray/DVD combo pack on April 15th.

Mighty 7: Beginnings. After stumbling upon seven aliens that crash-landed in the desert, Stan finds himself swept up in the group's journey as a top-secret military force led by the ominous Mr. Cross and the evil reptilian Taegons close in. Stan quickly moves the aliens to his Malibu beach house, but in order to guarantee their survival, he must show the Mighty 7 how to develop their powers and become Earth's newest team of superheroes.
The voice cast includes Armie Hammer as Strong Arm, Christian Slater as Lazer Lord, Mayim Bialik as Lady Lightning, Teri Hatcher as Silver Skylark, Flea (of the Red Hot Chili Peppers) as Roller Man, Darren Criss as Micro and Sean Austin as Kid Kinergy. Additional voices include Jim Belushi as Mr. Cross, the leader of a covert operations military division assigned to investigate UFO sightings, and Michael Ironside as Xanar, the leader of the warring aliens from the planet Taegon who enslave other planets and raid their natural resources.
Stan Lee's Mighty 7: Beginnings is produced by Stan Lee Comics, a joint venture among Genius Brands International, Stan Lee's POW! Entertainment and Archie Comics, and is the first in a trilogy of feature-length films supported by a licensing program to include digital comic books, toys, apparel, and video games.
