PBS Distribution has announced the 3-disc Blu-ray release of ITV and Masterpiece's Mr. Selfridge: The Complete Second Season, which stars Jeremy Piven as American capitalist Harry Gordon Selfridge, the man who brought seductive shopping to early 20th century London. The period drama's second season streets on April 29th.

Synopsis: Season Two opens in the spring of 1914 with the store's gala fifth anniversary. Many employees have moved up the promotion ladder, some have moved on, and Rose has moved out. She unexpectedly returns to London, but as a changed woman. Meanwhile, the loose ends of love affairs from last season get tied up as men are called to serve in a war that will change their lives forever. As in every other sphere of society, World War I puts the store, its employees, managers, and the galaxy of characters who revolve around this symbol of progress to the severest test yet.

The returning cast includes Frances O'Connor as Harry's decent, down-to-earth wife, Rose; Aisling Loftus as Agnes Towler, the gutsy sales clerk promoted to head of display; Amanda Abbington as Miss Mardle, jilted in love last season but smiled on by fate in the new series; and Ron Cook as Mr. Crabb, the store's money man with the bunny-in-the-headlights stare.

Also back are Katherine Kelly as showgirl-turned-socialite Lady Mae; Grégory Fitoussi as Henri LeClair, brilliant window designer, strangely evasive about his recent travels; Samuel West as enterprising journalist Frank Edwards, whose scoops threaten disaster; Tom Goodman-Hill as stern personnel director Mr. Grove, now a father many times over; and Trystan Gravelle as Victor Colleano, the good-looking, ambitious manager of the store's Palm Court Restaurant.

Joining the cast are Polly Walker as Delphine Day, risqué novelist and proprietor of a brilliant new nightclub; Cal Macaninch as Mr. Thackeray, the sharp-tongued new head of fashion; and Aidan McArdle as Lord Loxley, Lady Mae's absentee husband, who suddenly shows up to recoup the fortune he has gambled away, while tormenting his wife and her close friends, notably Harry.

Mr. Selfridge is a co-production of ITV Studios and Masterpiece, and based on "Shopping, Seduction & Mr. Selfridge" by Lindy Woodhead. Kate Brooke is lead writer on the second season working alongside Kate O'Riordan, Dan Sefton and Andrew Davies. The producers are Cherry Gould and Jeremy Piven. The co-executive producer is Kate O'Riordan. The executive producers are Kate Lewis, Kate Brooke, Andrew Davies, and Rebecca Eaton.

Mr. Selfridge: The Complete Second Season is presented in 1080p with a DTS-HD Master Audio track. PBS has yet to detail special features.
