Shout Factory has acquired the distribution rights to Mathias Malzieu and Stéphane Berla's CG-animated film
Jack and the Cuckoo-Clock Heart (2013). The company plans to have the film in select theaters across the U.S. followed by video-on-demand, electronic-sell-through, TV and in packaged media releases later this year.
Following the official announcement Shout Factory's founders Bob Emmer and Garson Foos said:
"This beautifully made, highly entertaining feature is a perfect addition to our growing library of exciting new films. We look forward to presenting this remarkable family movie to North American audiences through a wide variety of entertainment distribution platforms. Over last year, we enjoyed tremendous success with Bibo Bergeron's A Monster in Paris from EuropaCorp, and this new opportunity continues to build on our prowess in distributing premiere animation and family friendly content in the entertainment marketplace."
Adapted by co-director Mathias Malzieu from his bestselling novel and music album,
Jack and the Cuckoo-Clock Heart is a whimsical and visually opulent animated fairy tale set in the 19th century featuring fabulous inventions, unforgettable characters, enchanting music and fantastic adventures.
