Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is bringing writer/director Caroline Thompson's
Black Beauty (1994) to Blu-ray this summer. The adaptation of Anna Sewell's classic 19th century novel stars David Thewlis, Alan Cumming, Alun Armstrong, Andrew Knott, Eleanor Bron, John Mc Enery, Peter Cook, Jim Carter and Sean Bean, and streets on June 17th.
Official Synopsis: Lyrically recounted from the handsome black stallion's perspective, the film traces the steed's fortunes, from his happy beginnings on a sprawling, verdant country manor to working-class London's sooty, teeming streets. As he passes from owner to owner during a two-decade span, the ever-faithful horse encounters the best and worst of the human spirit.
