Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced the
2D and
3D Blu-ray release of director Peter Lepeniotis'
The Nut Job, which features the voice talents of Will Arnett,
Brendan Fraser, Gabriel Iglesias, Liam Neeson, Katherine Heigl and Maya Rudolph. The animated comedy arrives on Blu-ray on April 15th.
Synopsis: Surly (Arnett) is a mischievous squirrel with a mission: to find the tastiest nuts for winter. But he doesn't care about the other animals in the park, making him a rebel and an outcast. When he discovers a whole store filled with his favorite food after being banished, he plans a heist of nutrageous proportions and eventually has to choose between what's good for himself and what's good for his friends. When it turns out the nut shop is owned by ruthless bank robbers, though, it's up to Surly and his furry friends to stop a nearby bank heist, save the town and gather plenty of nuts for the winter.
