Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has revealed the specs for the upcoming Blu-ray releases of '
Starship Troopers', '
Starship Troopers: Marauder', and the '
Starship Troopers Box Set' which will include all three "Starship Troopers" films in stunning high definition. All three releases have been pushed back from their original July 29th release date to August 5th.
Video will be presented in 1.85:1 1080p AVC accompanied by a Dolby TrueHD soundtrack.
Extras for 'Starship Troopers' will include audio commentary with Paul Verhoeven and Ed Neumeier. Exclusive to the Blu-ray release will be "FedNet Mode - Bonus View Picture-in-Picture with Enhanced Graphics" and a "Recruitment Test".
For 'Starship Troopers: Marauder', extras include Director & Cast Commentary With Writer/Director Ed Neumeier and actors Casper Van Dien and Jolene Blalock, Filmmaker Commentary With Writer/Director Ed Neumeier, producer David Lancaster, and Visual Effects Supervisor Robert Skotak, two featuretes ("Evolution: The Bugs of Starship Troopers 3: Marauder" and "Enlist: Marauder's Mobile Infantry"), and an extended version of the music video "It's a Good Day to Die".
No specs have been announced for the second film in the "Starship Troopers" trilogy, nor if it would be available as a standalone purchase.
