Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill will re-team in a new film based on Marie Brenner's 1997 Vanity Fair article "The Ballad of Richard Jewell". Jewel was a security guard who discovered a backpack filled with three pipe bombs during the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Initially he was considered a hero, but later on unreliable media reports made him a suspect and destroyed his personal reputation.
According to early reports, Hill will play Jewel, while DiCaprio will be his lawyer. The film will be produced by Twentieth Century Fox.
Note: Hill and DiCaprio can also be seen in acclaimed director Martin Scorsese's latest film,
The Wolf of Wall Street, which has been nominated for five Academy Awards.
