Amazon Blu-ray Deal of the Week: The Walking Dead (Expired)

Amazon's Blu-ray Deal of the Week affects Starz/Anchor Bay's The Walking Dead: Seasons 1-3 bundle. Through February 8th, Amazon is offering this set for a 64% discount from its respective MSRP.

Based on Robert Kirkman's long-running comic series and developed for television by Academy Award-nominee Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption), The Walking Dead examines a United States in the wake of a catastrophic biological pandemic, one that turns the dead into mindless, flesh-craving zombies.

The show puts a particular focus on Georgia policeman Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln, Love Actually) who tries to protect a diverse band of survivors from the terrors of this new America, though he finds his mission complicated not just by the zombie hordes, but also by unstable tensions between the living.

The three-season package features a plethora of behind-the-scenes featurettes and cast interviews, audio commentaries on selected episodes, and extensive making-of documentaries.
