Independent British distributors Peccadillo Pictures have revealed that they are planning to bring to Blu-ray director Alain Guiraudie's L'inconnu du lac a.k.a Stranger by the Lake (2013), starring Pierre Deladonchamps, Christophe Paou, Patrick d'Assumçao, Mathieu Vervisch, and Emmanuel Daumas. The preliminary release date set by the distributors is May 26th.
Last year, Stranger by the Lake won Queer Palm Award and Un Certain Regard - Directing Prize at the Cannes Film Festival.
The influential French magazine Cahiers du Cinema, which once had amongst its writers such legendary directors as Jean-Luc Godard, Jacques Rivette, and Francois Truffaut, also selected Stranger by the Lake as its top film of 2013. (You can see Cahiers du Cinema's complete list here).
