Directors Guild Documentary Nominees Announced

The Directors Guild of America (DGA) has announced its nominations for the DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Documentaries for 2013. The winner will be announced at the DGA's awards ceremonies on Jan. 25 at the Century Plaza.

Following the official announcement Directors Guild of America President Paris Barclay said: "The five documentary filmmakers nominated today have made powerful films exploring humanity in all its complications. From intricate family portrayals to lives caught in political upheaval, these works are intimate, heartbreaking and triumphant. My congratulations to each of the nominees."
