Lionsgate Films has officially announced that it will release Rob Marshall's multiple Oscar winner Chicago (2002), starring Renée Zellweger, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Richard Gere, Taye Diggs, John C. Reilly, and Dominic West. The new Diamond Edition Blu-ray, which is described as featuring a "brand new, fully restored feature film", will be available for purchase online and in stores across the nation on February 11th.
At a time when crimes of passion result in celebrity headlines, nightclub sensation Velma Kelly (Zeta-Jones) and spotlight seeking Roxie Hart (Zellweger) both find themselves sharing space on Chicago's famed Murderess Row. They also share Billy Flynn (Gere), the town's slickest lawyer with a talent for turning notorious defendants into local legends. But in Chicago, there's only room for one legend!
